Meet our CEO

Sarah Clark came to Uttoxeter Learning Trust as Chief Executive in 2020. With National Professional Qualifications for both Headship and Executive Leadership, she has a strong track record as an educational leader.

Sarah was previously Principal of UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park from its opening in 2016. The pioneering academy specialises in Health Sciences, Sport Science and Computing, preparing students for careers in high tech job sectors of the future. Under Sarah’s leadership the UTC achieved a judgement of Good in its first Ofsted in 2019.

Sarah, who has a PhD in Molecular Genetics and a BSc in Microbiology, has held a variety of senior roles in secondary and sixth form education across South Yorkshire, Derbyshire, and Staffordshire.

Sarah is committed to providing an inspired and innovative education for all students within our schools. She has ambitions to expand Uttoxeter Learning Trust, building on existing success. Most recently, in September 2022, Bramshall Meadows First School opened on the Bramshall Meadows estate in Uttoxeter.

Introduction to Central Team

Uttoxeter Learning Trust is legally responsible for standards and for operational aspects in each of our academies. Each school continues to have its own local governing body, which works in partnership with the Trust Board. Our central team supports our schools both with back-office services such as Finance, IT and Health and Safety, and also with school improvement and standards.

Andy joined the Uttoxeter Learning Trust as the Business and Operations Manager for Thomas Alleyne's High School in 2017 and in 2018 alongside this role became the part time CFO for the Trust. As the role continued to develop in 2023 Andy took his current role as the full time Chief Finance Officer for the Uttoxeter Learning Trust

Andy is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and having worked for 8 years in a local Chartered Accountants Practice began his career in education working as a Management Accountant at the University of Derby in 1993 and since then has worked in and supported schools in the Derby, Derbyshire and East Staffordshire area as a School Business Manager.

Andy brings a professional and sound financial approach to his role and continues to develop his understanding of the education system and is part of the DFE West Midlands Learning Set focusing on Financial Health.
